The newest official ClickUp demo video is ClickUp 4.0 overview | A new era of craft, quality, and convergence., a 1:43 launch video on ClickUp's YouTube channel, uploaded December 10, 2025. It walks through five new features in the real app, one short clip each. The one thing it does best: it opens inside the product. The first line of the video is a chat post in ClickUp itself, "Your Workspace is about to change forever.", so the title card is the product.

ClickUp also posted a 59-second version the same day, ClickUp 4.0: World's First Converged AI Workspace. This teardown covers the longer overview.

Which cut it is

We sort product videos into four cuts: teaser (up to 30 s), hook (up to 20 s), pitch (up to 45 s) and demo (up to 60 s).

This is a launch video, and its shape is a pitch: a problem ("context switching"), the real screen, a quality claim, then an offer ("turn on ClickUp 4.0"). At 1:43 it runs more than twice the pitch length, because it covers five features instead of one.

Two shorter cuts are hiding in it. The first ten seconds (the chat post, the GIF, "the most requested features in our history") would work as a hook on their own. And any single feature segment, such as the planner from 0:23 to 0:37, is close to a one-task demo.

The ClickUp demo video, shot by shot

Times are from the YouTube upload. Voice-over lines are quoted from YouTube's captions (capitals and punctuation as captioned).

TimeOn screenVoice-over or textWhy it works
0:00 to 0:01A ClickUp window floating on a magenta-to-orange gradient, a chat thread openMusicThe brand gradient frames the app from the first frame.
0:02 to 0:09Push in on a chat post by "Cass Chan" titled "Your Workspace is about to change forever.", with a GIF of cave people cheering; the reply reads "With ClickUp 4.0, the most requested features in our history come together in a smarter and more connected experience.""Your workspace is about to change forever. With ClickUp 4.0, the most requested features in our history come together in a smarter, more connected experience."The voice reads what's on screen, and the screen is the product. The GIF sets a light tone.
0:10 to 0:11Pull back to the full window, then a whip blur"It all starts with a new converged hierarchy."The blur marks a new section, like a chapter break.
0:12 to 0:20Close-up of the left nav: the cursor clicks Home (Inbox, Replies, My Tasks), Spaces, Chat, then More (Docs, Dashboards, Whiteboards, Forms, Clips, Goals, Timesheets, Apps)"For the first time, projects, docs, and chat all live in one place, a unified navbar you can make your own"The crop is just the sidebar, so the change is obvious even on a phone.
0:23 to 0:29Planner: a week calendar, then a close-up on Priorities; the cursor hovers "Auto-schedule this task" and "Facebook retargeting" lands on the calendar"Calendar also gets a major upgrade with a planner. Block time for what matters most"One click, one visible result.
0:30 to 0:37The Create menu, "Out of office" picked, an Out of Office block appears across the week"Vacations, holidays, non-working days, it's all in here so your plans finally reflect reality."The example is relatable: everyone has had a plan ignore their vacation.
0:39 to 0:52Teams Hub for "Marketing": tabs Overview, Analytics, Priorities, Feed, Team, StandUp, Workload, Timesheet; "Welcome to the Marketing Team Hub!""This is one central place to see who's working on what"A zoom into the tab row names the feature's parts before scrolling through them.
0:53 to 0:55Workload view: each person's days in green, yellow and red"Know your team's true capacity at a glance."A heatmap makes "capacity" visible in one frame.
0:56 to 1:03A space sidebar, then a "Create Folder" dialog"Of course, the moment you've all been waiting for. Subfolders are finally here"It names the user demand out loud.
1:04 to 1:09Push in on the sidebar: ClickUp 4.0 space, Team / Kanban, Releases, List, then Team / Scrum, a sprint folder, Sprint 1 and its task list"You can now add another layer of folders to organize projects, phases, and even sprints"The nesting is shown, not described.
1:11 to 1:18Task "NovaCore Solutions": custom fields grouped "From Account type" (Account Owner, Account Tier, Renewal Date) and "From location" (Department); Account Tier changed from Gold to Bronze"Tasks themselves are smarter, too, thanks to custom field task types"Realistic sample data (a client account, a tier, a renewal date) makes the feature make sense.
1:19 to 1:21Task "Review account details" with an image captioned "No spillover here!""cleaner, sharper, and built exactly for the work at hand."A small joke planted in the sample data.
1:22 to 1:31A 3D montage: tilted app screens, floating cards for "Chat", "Teams Hub" and "Brain" ("Create an agent"), the words "pixel precision", stacked cards, the logo as a tile, then "AI Workspace" over the inbox"And we've built all of this with the quality and craft that you expect from ClickUp. Every pixel refined"The one stretch that's brand polish rather than product.
1:33 to 1:38Workspace menu, Settings, then "Workspace Settings" with "ClickUp 4.0 NEW" and a dropdown: "Everyone uses 3.0" or "Everyone uses 4.0""Ready to make the switch? Admins and owners can now turn on ClickUp 4.0 in your workspace settings."The call to action is shown as the exact click. No one has to go looking.
1:39 to 1:42ClickUp logo on white"Welcome to ClickUp 4.0."Short sign-off.

What to steal for your demo

  1. Open inside your product. ClickUp's title card is a chat post in ClickUp. If your app has a feed, an inbox, a comment or a notification, write your opening line there and record it. The viewer sees the product in frame one, and you get a headline for free.
  2. One feature, one action, one crop. Every segment is a single action (a click, a dropdown, a drag) shot close on the part of the screen that changes. Crop your recording to that area instead of showing the whole window. Our film shots vocabulary covers close-ups and push-ins.
  3. Show the call to action as a click. The last product shot is the exact setting that turns the release on. If your next step is "sign up" or "install the extension", show the screen where that happens.
  4. Build a demo workspace with believable data. "Acme", "NovaCore Solutions", a Fall 2025 brand campaign, a multiplayer game sprint: the sample data looks like real work. A clean account with realistic records looks better than your real messy one and leaks nothing private.
  5. Plant one joke. The cave-people GIF and "No spillover here!" cost nothing and make a feature tour feel human. One is enough.

What not to copy

  • Five features in one video. ClickUp can list five because 4.0 is a major release for an existing user base. For your launch, one feature, shown start to finish, lands harder. If you have five, make five short videos.
  • The 3D montage. Tilted floating cards and "pixel precision" are motion design work with a real budget behind it, and those nine seconds tell you nothing about what the product does. Spend the time on your screen instead.
  • Internal words. "Converged hierarchy" is ClickUp's term. The video recovers by explaining it right away ("projects, docs, and chat all live in one place"). Lead with the plain version.
  • "The moment you've all been waiting for." ClickUp can say it because the release is framed as its "most requested features". Don't borrow the line unless your users really asked for the thing.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I watch the ClickUp 4.0 demo video?

On YouTube. The ClickUp 4.0 overview is on ClickUp's YouTube channel under the title "ClickUp 4.0 overview | A new era of craft, quality, and convergence.", uploaded December 10, 2025.

How long is the ClickUp 4.0 demo video?

The ClickUp 4.0 overview runs 1:43. ClickUp posted a shorter 59-second version the same day, titled ClickUp 4.0: World's First Converged AI Workspace.

What features does the ClickUp 4.0 demo video show?

Five. The ClickUp 4.0 overview shows the unified navbar (the "converged hierarchy"), the calendar planner with Out of Office blocks, the Teams Hub with its workload view, subfolders, and custom field task types, each as a short clip in the real app.

How does the ClickUp 4.0 demo video open?

Inside the product. The first shot of the ClickUp 4.0 overview is a chat post in ClickUp that reads "Your Workspace is about to change forever.", with a GIF of cave people cheering, so the title card is the app itself.

How do you turn on ClickUp 4.0, according to the demo video?

In Workspace Settings. The ClickUp 4.0 overview ends by showing admins and owners opening Workspace Settings and switching the dropdown from "Everyone uses 3.0" to "Everyone uses 4.0".

What can a startup copy from the ClickUp demo video?

Four things: open inside your own product, show each feature as one action on a tight crop, show the call to action as the exact click, and record in a demo workspace with believable sample data. What not to copy is the five-feature scope and the nine-second 3D montage, which ClickUp can afford for a major release to an existing user base.

Record yourself doing the one task your release is about, and Demo Editor can cut it into a pitch of up to 45 seconds or a hook of up to 20, from your real screens, in about 20 minutes. Finished ones are on the examples page.
